One of the most enduring shows of all time, Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel’s favorite son.
The Empress Theatre is excited to announce auditions for ‘Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’!
Auditions will be held on Tues. March 1st and Thurs. March 3rdt from 7pm-9pm at the theater.
Callbacks will be held on Sat. March 5th by invitation only.
Auditioners should come prepared with a minus track and 16 bars of a song in the style of the show. We prefer no A’Capella singing.
Auditions are open to those of all ages, ‘Joseph’l is a great show for families to participate in together!

Open Ensemble
Joseph- male, 18-30, with a youthful look. Tenor
Narrator(s)- Female, 18-60. Soprano Lyric and belt
Pharaoh- male. 25-40. Elvis impersonator. Rock Baritone
Jacob- male, 50+. Joseph’s (and the brothers) father. Baritone
11 men- 16-40. Various age ranges playing Joseph’s brothers. Includes 3 featured soloists (Western, French ballad, Calypso). Must be able to move. Baritone / Tenor.
11 women- 16-40. Various age ranges playing the brother’s wives. Must be able to move. Soprano / Alto
Ensemble- male or female, all ages
The ensemble will play a variety of roles including Potiphar, Potiphar’s wife, The Butler, The Baker, Ishmaelites, The Apache Dancer, Egyptians, and Guards
