The Last Five Years
The Grand Theatre, located at 1575 South State Street, Salt Lake City, will be holding auditions for the musical, “The Last Five Years”, on Saturday, November 14th, 2015. The auditions will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be held in the Annex, located at 1610 South 250 East, in the south east corner of the South City Campus.
David Hanson will be directing the production and it will run February 05-27, 2016 at the Grand Theatre. Rehearsals will begin January 04. Rehearsals (apart from tech week) will be Monday-Friday from 6pm to 10pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
Those wishing to audition will need visit the website below, or call 801.957.3322 to schedule an audition time. Men and women of all ethnic backgrounds and ages are encouraged to audition. Each person who auditions should:
- Bring a headshot and resume
- Bring your best 32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song
- Bring sheet music for the accompanist
- No monologue is needed. Sides will provided at callbacks only

An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
