Announcing upcoming auditions for Arsenic and Old Lace!
Charitable Acts Theatre is a community theater group located in Heber City, UT. Roles are non-paid, however a travel stipend will be paid to cast members traveling from outside the Heber Valley.
Everyone is invited to audition, either in person or by submitting a video, even if you’ve never been in a play before. Click on the link below for full details on roles, audition sides, how to sign up, etc.
In person auditions are on April 13, 5-8pm and April 15, 9-11am at the East Classroom, Heber City Rec Center, 345 W 600 S, Heber City, UT 84032. We encourage you to sign up for an available time, but walk ins are welcome.
Video submissions and headshots can be emailed by April 13 to carrie@charitableactstheatre.org.
Callbacks by invitation on April 15 11am – 1pm.
Rehearsals begin April 19th and run M, W, Th 6-10pm and Saturdays 9am-1pm
The show will run Mondays, and Wednesdays through Saturdays, June 5th to June 17th, 2023, at 7:30pm, with a matinee each Saturday at 2pm. Entire cast must be available for Dress/Tech Rehearsals the week of May 29th through June 3rd.
Performances will be at the Midway Town Hall, 75 100 W, Midway, UT 84049.

Synopsis: A hilarious comedy that centers on two sweet elderly sisters who are known for their acts of charity. Unfortunately that charity includes poisoning lonely old men who come to their home looking for lodging. They are assisted in their “mercy killings” by a mentally challenged nephew who believes he is Teddy Roosevelt. Matters get complicated when a second nephew discovers the murders and a third nephew appears after having just escaped a mental institution. The result is comedy, fun, and mayhem!
