Auditions for Star Ward will be held Saturday, November 21st, 2015 from 10 AM to 3 PM.
The “space western” genre goes Utahn. In this sci-fi parody, Luke Singleswarder must rescue his sister, Princess Laman, who has been kidnapped by Darth Sinner. This knee-slapping adventure is full of fantastic characters like Briggum-Yung Kenobi, Wilford Wookie, Java the Cup, and The Adversary, the evil Emperor-like character who is so old he needs to use an Imperial Walker. Using the Still Small Force, Luke sets out with his faithful droids, CTR2-D2 and MTC-PO, to find the princess and make the universe safe again. Written by Paul and Patrick Gibbs. Rehearsal Dates: November 28th – January 14th, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. Tech week is January 11th – 14th, with rehearsals every night from 6:30 to 10 PM.
Performance Dates: January 15th – February 20th, Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 PM. No performance on January 18th.
Wanted: Adults and chilren, all ages, sizes, and types. All parts are open.
Payment: $50 stipend.
Preparation: Be prepared to tell a short joke, to do cold readings from sides provided from the script, and to sing at least 32 bars a cappella of your favorite song. A headshot and resume are recommended but not required.
Time Slots: Auditions for adults are between 12 PM and 3 PM. Auditions for children are between 10 AM and 11:30 AM. Each audition slot is 5 minutes. For additional time slots, contact the director at [email protected]. Callback are on the following Monday or Tuesday.
