“Steel Magnolias” is a comedy by Robert Harling with moments of emotional poignancy about a group of Southern women that meet in Truvy’s Beauty Parlor to share friendship, bickering, and support as they each go through life’s ups and downs. The strong, realistic personalities and quick wit of these five women will have you laughing and feeling gratitude for the joys of family and friends.
This show has special meaning for our director, Denise Gull, who recently donated a kidney to a stranger. Her own personal journey through the decision-making, donation, and healing processes has turned “Steel Magnolias” into a labor of love for not only Denise, but the entire cast and production staff, too. We will be gratefully accepting donations for the Kidney Foundation at the door.
