SHOW INFORMATION: Longtime LDS songwriter Michael McLean joined forces with musical librettist Kevin Kelly for this delightful look at the Biblical Noah and his days on the ark. McLean’s trademark humor pops up all over the musical, and Kelly does a terrific job of giving each character a turn upstage, even some of the animals! Several of the pieces are quite hilarious, particularly the tune “Dinner” in which all the young humans start envisioning the ark’s precious cargo as their next meal. However, the duo never loses sight of the underlying message of Noah’s story, which is one of obedience, faith and courage. The first act effectively communicates the basic concerns of each character.
