Once a year Acting Out Loud offers an incredible performance opportunity to actors wanting to learn while they receive stage and performance time. I’m writing to invite you to take part in our production this spring.
Feb. 9, 2013 Acting Out Loud will be holding auditions for the annual Advance One Act Play Production Class. Students 8yrs – Adults may audition for a spot in the class. We will be performing a Musical – (Most likely a Broadway Jr show)
Last year’s production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing was a huge success. It was amazing to me how each of the actors took to their roles learning and spouting Shakespeare’s prose and verse as if they had been raised speaking it. We used the funds from the class to install theatrical lighting in our new studio.
In 2011 we produced two Thorton Wilder One Acts. I was thrilled with the progress each actor made and it was so fun to have them performing on a big stage at Copper Hills High School.
This year I hope to continue the growth of our new studio by adding, permanent scenery and sound which will greatly enhance the performance experience for actors and audience.
Classes will be on Saturdays in the afternoon March-May You can find complete details at www.ActingOutloud.com
Promising Acting Out Loud Students will be invited to register for the production class which includes auditioning: by singing 16 bars of a Musical Number. New Students to Acting Out Loud may audition for consideration and placement in the production class by preparing 16 bars of a Musical Number and a 60 second monologue. The class will be limited to 12 students, however if less than 12 students audition then everyone can count on a spot in the class.
If you are planning to audition please let me know by scheduling an audition appointment. I am so excited to see your pieces. Good Luck! Jenny Peterson Acting Out Loud 801-282-4765

Hello Everyone, this is Jenny Peterson Director of the Adv. Play Production Class. I have been wildly searching the musical possibilities for show that suites a small cast that is also 45-60 minutes in length. I am happy to say that I have found several possibilities and I thought you might be interested to hear what I am considering: from Music Theater International: Dear Edwina (Heisler & Goldrich) and Flat Stanley (MCDonald & Waller), from Samuel French: Rapunzel (Walter), Hansel and Gretel (Walter), The Unfriendly Giant (Walter), and The Secret Garden: spring version (edited by Marsha Norman herself)
