Original Dickens Carolers have been performing in Colorado for 30 years and have now come to Utah! We book multiple quartets for events 7 days a week, mornings through late evening, November through Christmas day.
All performance material is fully memorized for optimal audience participation. We provide costumes and rehearsal materials and schedule initial rehearsals based on new caroler availability and need, starting mid-September. Open weekend availability from November 29- December 22 is essential.
Please prepare 16 measures from two contrasting Christmas songs and we will have a cold reading from excerpts of our stories.
Roles available: (we will be casting multiple people for each role)
Gov’nor (Baritone/Bass) Group Emcee, Charming, but somewhat stuffy, calls songs and provides pitch.
Sebastian (Tenor) Fancies himself as a ladies man, a bit of a practical joker.
Felicity (Soprano) The beauty, with poise and grace, requires a blendable solo voice.
Pip (Alto, 2nd Soprano) The foundling orphan in knickers and a jacket. Loveable and approachable, often the butt of the jokes but the crowd favorite as the underdog. Smaller child-like appearance preferable (5’4 or less is ideal).
