High Valley Arts in beautiful Midway, Utah, will be presenting “The MUSIC MAN” on our outdoor stage June 30-July 17. The show is always a sellout, and this year will be no exception.

We are looking for a spectacular Harold Hill. Travel stipends are provided for those coming from the Orem/Provo and SLC areas.  All roles except Marian Paroo are open. Marian Paroo will be played by Tiffany Mortensen.

Video auditions are due April 11 at 11:00 p.m. Callbacks will be posted April 12 at midnight and will be held Saturday, April 15 from 8-11 a.m. and Monday, April 17, 6-9 p.m. at High Valley Arts Studio, 210 East Main, Midway, Utah.

Detailed information about roles, where to send audition tape, and rehearsal schedule can be found in our audition packet on the website – www.HighValleyArts.org.

Director is Sue Waldrip. Music Director is Daniel Clegg. Choreographers are Mindy McMaster and Sonnet Remund.

Auditioners should prepare 16 measures of a song in the style of “Music Man” and include themselves performing the choreography example included on the website.

More difficult choreography will be included in callbacks for those with dance-intensive roles.  We will have tap dancing in the “Library” and “76 Trombones” dances, so those with previous tap experience are encouraged to audition.

This is our 11th year performing on our popular outdoor stage in beautiful Midway! The show will sell out!
