Murray Cultural Arts announces auditions for the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Music and Lyrics by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, directed by Candy Tippetts, Assistant Director and Choreographer Alan LaFleur, Musical Direction by Lynn Chatterton, Costumes by Tammy Wilson, Set Design by Dwight Western and Orchestra Direction by Dr. Anthony Buck.
Performance dates are July 18-20, 22, and 25-27.
All roles are open, ages 16 & older. All ethnicities and body types are encouraged and welcome to audition. The ensemble cast will play several roles including gargoyles, gypsies and townspeople. A choir, which itself is a character in this show, will be at least 32 singers and will be on stage for the entirety of each performance. Choir rehearsals will be held Monday evenings only until orchestra rehearsals. All other rehearsals will be held Tues, Wed, Thurs evenings and Saturday mornings.
Audition Submissions are due by midnight on March 17, 2024.
Please fill out the audition form and prepare a song not to exceed 2 minutes in the style of the show to be submitted as a YouTube format. No other formats are allowed. Audition form and video should be sent to tippettscandace@gmail.com.
Callbacks will be by invitation only and will be held on March 23, 2024 with rehearsals beginning April 1, 2024.
