Join us for Newsies at Spotlight Performing Arts Center!
Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right!
Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story.

WHAT TO PREPARE: Please Prepare 30 seconds-1 minute of a broadway style song. We recommend bringing a device that can play an instrumental version. (a phone works great!)

- Rehearsals: Jan. 6th-Feb. 29th, Friday 3:30-6:30 -(Music Class), March 1st -June 6th T/TH 7:00-9:00pm, Friday 3:30-6:30
- Performances: June 5th & 6th
- Only those who have registered will be cast. https://www.spotlightpac.org/ages-12-18.html
- Everyone who auditions and registers will be in the show.
- Space is limited, we will shut down registration when we reach capacity.
- Sign ups for audition times will be sent out by email after you register.
