Registration is now open for Kensington Theatre’s Musical Theatre Experience (MTE) for children and youth grades 3-9! We will be performing the beloved Disney classic, The Lion King Jr! Our MTE gives children and youth the valuable opportunity to learn all about the musical theatre world in a safe and fun environment. The $100 fee includes eight weeks of an amazing theatre experience, 2 tickets to the show, and a cast t-shirt!
Location: Kensington Theatre, 11709 S. Vadania Dr. South Jordan, UT (Please park in the south parking lot and enter through the south doors in the back of the theatre.)
Auditions: October 10, 7-9p (you must be registered to audition) Prepare 16 bars of an upbeat, age appropriate song. Songs from the Lion King are welcome! An accompanist will be provided or minus tracks can be used too. Once registered, you will be able to sign up for an audition time. Registration: $100 (includes cast t-shirt and one amazing experience!) Registration is now open limited to 20 cast members (3rd-5th) and 60 cast members (6th-9th). There are no refunds on registration. Registration guarantees you a part in the production.
Rehearsals: Generally, rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (6-10 PM) and Saturdays (8 AM–5 PM). The amount of rehearsals you need to attend will depend on the part you are cast in. Rehearsals begin October 23, 2017.
Performances: December 8, 9 11, 15, and 16 at 7p and Dec 16 at 3p, 2017.
