Wasatch Theatre Company announces auditions for Constellations and God’s Favorite!

Auditions for both plays will take place on Thursday, June 8th from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Salt Lake Community College:

We will also allow drop-by auditions as time allows.
Actors will receive a $20.00 stipend per performance. Rehearsal schedules will be determined following auditions.

SYNOPSIS: This spellbinding, romantic journey begins with a simple encounter between a man and a woman. But what happens next defies the boundaries of the world we think we know—delving into the infinite possibilities of their relationship and raising questions about the difference between choice and destiny.
CHARACTERS:
ROLAND: (male, age 25-40, all ethnicities)
a charming, laid-back beekeeper; warm and open, with a good sense of humor, earthy and likable.
MARIANNE: (female, age 25-40, all ethnicities) a fiercely intelligent scientist dealing with a terminal illness; though she’s a serious professional working in the top 1% of her field, she has a quirky, head-in-the clouds quality; friendly, warm, and quick-witted, comedic chops.
God’s Favorite by Neil Simon

Will perform at the Rose Wager, September 21 – October 7, 2017 (9 performances total).
SYNOPSIS: Successful Long Island businessman Joe Benjamin is a modern-day ‘Job’ with a demanding wife, ungrateful children and wise-cracking household employees. Just when it seems things couldn’t get any worse, he is visited by Sidney Lipton, a.k.a. A Messenger from God (and compulsive film buff) with a mission: test Joe’s faith and report back to “the Boss.” The jokes and Tests of Faith fly fast and furious as Neil Simon spins a contemporary morality tale like no other in this hilarious comedy.
