Desert Star Playhouse, long known for it’s hilarious family friendly comedies, is holding auditions for two upcoming productions including BEAUTY AND THE FANTASTIC BEAST and HOW THE GROUCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! Multiple roles are open for actors, 18 years and older. We are looking for experienced actors and singers. Roles are double cast and all actors are paid. Rehearsals are held in the evenings. TBA.

Audition Protocol: You may call our box office at (801)266-2600 for an audition time, but it is also an open call and those arriving without an audition time will be seen in the order of their arrival.

Headshot/Resume: Strongly recommended
Prepare: Please bring 32 bars of 2 contrasting songs that demonstrate your vocal ability. Be prepared with a short comedic monologue, short story or series of jokes or amusing anecdotes. Please bring your own sheet music. No recorded music is allowed. An accompanist is provided.
Actors Needed: Males and females, ages 18 and older. Must be able to do comedy and be strong singers; some dance experience preferred.
Payment: All roles are paid.
