2016 Tuacahn Center for the Arts Season Auditions
Tuacahn Center for the Arts in beautiful Southern Utah (approx. 90 minutes
northeast of Las Vegas) is casting our 2016 Broadway in the Desert Season featuring
Peter Pan, Disney’s TARZAN, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
ACTORS, SINGERS & DANCERS:
Bring headshot and resume. Prepare 16 bars from a song in the style of the shows &
have a second, contrasting song if requested. Selections from the shows permitted.
Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but may not
transpose. No tapes or cds. Potential ensemble should attend a dance call. Actors
invited to call backs will be provided with sides to read. Performers of all ethnic
backgrounds are encouraged to attend. Men and women bring character, jazz, and
tap shoes and attire appropriate for dancing and movement.
PLEASE NOTE:
Six month contracts: April 13 – October 17, 2015 for the amphitheater productions.
Because Peter Pan, TARZAN and The Hunchback of Notre Dame play in repertory,
actors will be cast in all productions. *First rehearsal for Peter Pan and TARZAN
April 11 in Ivins, Utah (120 Miles Northeast of Las Vegas) *First rehearsal for The
Hunchback of Notre Dame start June 27; * All roles available * All roles are
understudied * Ensemble cast may also perform in the Tuacahn’s nightly pre-show *
Earn EMC points with Actor’s Equity Association * During our season, cast members
will receive a private audition with a major entertainment company * Shared
housing available for a small fee.
