IT’S ALIVE! Fresh off of Broadway, The Empress is proud to present the REGIONAL PREMIERE of “Young Frankenstein: the musical”! Based on the 1974 classic comedy by Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder.
Auditions will be held Tues 2/26 and Thurs 2/28 from 7-9pm at the theatre with callbacks scheduled 9am-12pm on Sat 3/2.
All roles are open for actors ages 14 and up. Auditioners are asked to prepare a 30 second comedic monologue AND no more than 32 bars of a Broadway song in the style of the show, but not from the show. Please bring a minus track (CD or iPod ok) or sheet music - an accompanist will be provided. NO A’capella singing allowed. Auditioners should also bring a resume and headshot.
Rehearsals will typically be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The show performs April 26th - May 18th, 2013 on Friday, Saturday and Monday nights with one matinee May 4th.
