Sugar Factory Playhouse and West Jordan Theater Arts are excited to announce auditions for Arthur Scholey’s “The Dickens Christmas Carol Show,” a charming musical version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” that is true to Dickens’ original words.
Auditions will be held Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the old West Jordan Library (1970 West 7800 South).
Come prepared to cold-read sides from the script in either a Cockney or high British accent, sing 16 bars from a song in the style of the show or a Broadway tune, and learn a short dance sequence. All parts are open (ages 6-80) except that of Ebenezer Scrooge, which has already been cast. We are especially looking for men.
Callbacks will be Friday, September 25 by invitation only. Performances will be December 3-5, 7, 10-12, 14, 17-19. Questions? Call director Pat Oliver at 801-566-5586.
Post expires at 12:00am on Thursday September 24th, 2015
