War, Witches and Whispers in the Dark: New World Shakespeare Company presents The Tragedy of Macbeth to Benefit Recovering Veterans.
New World Shakespeare Company is pleased to announce auditions for Macbeth. Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 18th from 3 -5 PM at Eagle Gate College; 425 South Main St. in Salt Lake City. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, August 24th and be held 2 weekday evenings and 1-2 weekend afternoons weekly through opening. Performance dates are October 24-27th & October 31st- November 3rd (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). All performances will be at The Leonardo.
New World Shakespeare Company produces classic scripts with modern interpretations to relate to audiences more directly. Each production is also accompanied by a charitable campaign for a local cause that relates to the theme of the show.
NWSC’s performances of Macbeth will benefit recovering Utah veterans. All positions are volunteer. Casting is non-gender specific, non-age specific and open to all racial and cultural diversity.
Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script. Sides will be provided. Head shot and resume are appreciated but not required.
