Directed by: Michelle Hudson

Set in 1922, the story revolves around the adventures of Millie Dillmount, who escapes to New York City from Salina, Kansas, determined to become a “modern” and marry her wealthy boss - whoever he may be.

It is soon revealed that the Priscilla Hotel is a front for a white slavery ring, headed by Mrs. Meers, the property’s proprietor, and her two bumbling Asian henchmen.

When Millie puts two-and-two together and realizes what is happening, she devises a harebrained scheme to save her friend from the clutches of the white slavers before Miss Dorothy is shipped to the Far East. Before long, Jimmy’s in drag, Trevor is drugged, and fireworks are exploding everywhere in Chinatown, with all the chaos eventually leading to a happy ending.

Character Descriptions: Ages are the suggested ages of the characters, not necessarily the ages of the actors.

Millie Dillmount: Age 18 - 25 Millie is a sweet, classic leading lady with energy and a sense of humor. Millie should have a strong voice with lots of stamina. Millie must also have charisma, a great sense of comedy, & good acting skills.

Jimmy Smith: Age 20 - 30 Jimmy is self-assured and quick-witted. Jimy should be charming but goofy and possess a good sense of comic timing.

Dorothy Brown: Age 18 - 25 Miss Dorothy is the perfect role for a young lady with a lovely voice. She is much more refined than Millie.

Trevor Graydon: Age 25 - 40 Trevor Graydon the Third is Millie’s boss at Sincere Trust. He is a “manly-man.” Trevor is both pompous and goofy at the same time.

Mrs. Meers: Age 30 - 60 Mrs. Meers is the villain of our story. Think Cruella DeVille from 101 Dalmations meets Miss Hannigan from Annie . She is an over-the-top actress who has an excellent sense of comedic timing.

Ching Ho & Bun Foo: Age 18 - 25 Ching Ho and Bun Foo are brothers and emigrants from China. These two are working to bring their dear mother to the United States from China.

Miss Flannery: Age 30 - 50 Miss Flannery is the office manager of Sincere Trust. She’s uptight and stern, a real no-nonsense kind of gal. She goes to all lengths to keep the office efficient and orderly but also possesses the power to “let loose” once in a while.

Muzzy von Hossmere: Age 30 - 50 New York Socialite, Fancy-shmancy moral voice of reason and true love.

Gloria, Alice, Rita, Ruth, Ethel: Age 16 - 25 These girls live at the Hotel Priscilla with Millie and Miss Dorothy. Although they are not lead roles, all of these girls have substantial speaking lines with some singing solos.

Ensemble – there are a moderate number of small parts and solos throughout the show.
