The Ziegfeld Theatre announces auditions for “The BFG” by Roald Dahl, adapted for the stage by David Wood, directed by Allen Smith. Auditions will be held January 18th at 10 AM. If callbacks are needed, they will be held by invitation only the following Monday, January 20th. All auditioners are asked to perform at least 10 lines of a children’s poem. Please bring a resume of performing and all other relevant experience. Headshot recommended. The audition may include movement and cold-readings of sides from the play.
The play (with music) opens Feb 28th and performs until March 29th. All rehearsals will be at The Ziegfeld Theater, two to three evenings a week and Saturday mornings. The first rehearsal will be held Saturday, January 25th. The show will feature the use of masks and puppets.
