Our popular Theatre for Young Audiences program is presenting “Pinkalicious: The Musical” February 9-27, 2015 at SCERA Center for the Arts with 10am weekdays matinee performances for school field trips and public shows on Monday and Friday nights @ 7pm. Auditions for ages 14 to adult will be held on Thursday, December 11 from 7-9pm or Friday, December 12 from 10am-12Noon. No appointment is necessary to audition. A resume and headshot is helpful, but not required.
The one-hour musical is based on the beloved children’s book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, and will be directed by Jerry Elison. Lead roles include Pinkalicious, her brother Peter, her friend Alison, her mother and father Mr. & Mrs. Pinkerton, her pediatrician Dr. Wink and several ensemble roles. Auditioners should prepare 16 bars of a musical theatre song. An accompanist or IPOD playback will be available. Rehearsals will be held in the mornings from 10am-12Noon beginning December 15. There will be a break during the Christmas holiday.
