International Best-Selling Author, Rebecca Ethington, is holding auditions for a new interactive novel experience due out September 2013. In this new debut work actors will portray the characters from the novel in online videos, blogs, images, and other social media to create a one of a kind reading experience.
To launch this new concept Ms. Ethington is looking for actors to portray the main characters in the above mentioned media as well as be featured on the cover for the release of the companion novel (Nov. 2013). Actors will be asked to participate in video and photo shoots on a bi-monthly basis for the next five months, and are required to be contracted to remain in their ‘role’ for the duration of the production. All actors will be compensated.
Schedule for filming and work are flexible and easily able to rotate around other commitments.

The video should be about 3 minutes long and include an original take on one of the three book excerpts located at the authors website. You may read them like a one man show, get your friends together and create something, sit in front of your computer and read it like a journal entry. Anything works. Please note, the video does not have to be professionally done, cell phone videos are allowed.

The characters that are being cast are the following:
Charlotte, female – aged 17, height, weight, and general look open to concept. — Called ‘Lotty’ by her best friend, Charlotte is the older sister and caregiver to her younger brother, and feels a constant need to protect him from the abusive situation at home. She is bubbly and outgoing once her barriers are broken down, but is naturally untrusting and cynical on first contact.
Robert, male – aged 12, height, weight, and general look open to concept – Robert is Charlotte’s younger brother is bright and able to find the positive in any bad situation. While Charlotte lives to protect him, he feels the same parentified need toward her. Robby enjoys video games, but his favorite is reading which does more often, and in secret.
Kris, male – aged 17, height, weight, and general look open to concept – Kris is Lotty’s best friend and the only one who has a clue about what Lotty is going through, but even then it’s the dumbed up version. With his own problems as home, Kris find companionship in Lotty’s company and finds that being around her makes everything feel a little better. While they have tried dating in the past, it just didn’t take and their relationship is purely plutonic. His interests are computers and baseball, which he plays quite well.
Dark, male – aged 18, height, weight, and general look open to concept – High schools star wrestler. He’s a bit cocky as all the attention has gone to his head a bit, but overall he is kind and understanding. Dark is Charlotte’s romantic interest. Charlotte helps to break down his cocky attitude and help him see the value of family, something he has disregarded since his father ‘disowned him’
Brooke, female – aged 18, height, weight, and general look open to concept – She’s bit of a diva. She has studied ballet her whole life and is of the opinion that nothing else matters. She is nice, but you have to see past her princess nature and sarcasm to really know the kind of person she is.
