Draper Arts Council Announces Broadway Family Favorites Auditions
The Draper Arts Council will hold auditions January 8 and 9 for its annual Broadway revue. Auditions will be in the auditorium of the Corner Canyon High School (12943 South 700 East) from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., with callbacks by invitation Saturday 11 January. Auditioners should come with music prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway-style tune. No CDs or minus tracks. A headshot is desirable but not essential.
BFF is an always-popular opportunity for families to perform together. There are great opportunities for both solo and ensemble pieces for all ages. Valaura Arnold is directing this show with Jessica Yergensen as choreographer. There will be pieces from Wicked, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Jersey Boys, Newsies, Mary Poppins, and more. The theme for this year’s show is Dreams.
No children under 6, and parents must commit to be responsible for any children under 12. Performances will be in late March, at the Corner Canyon High School.
