Synopsis: Martin Barlow was admitted to the psychiatric ward of a hospital under California Code 5150, a 72 hour psychiatric hold, after a suicide attempt. After the 72 hours, because he was non compliant with medications and refused to participate in his own treatment plan, he went before a judge who committed him to the hospital until his doctors deemed him to no longer be a threat to himself. It is now day 29 of his hospitalization and his psychiatrist, Alice Lee, is trying to get Martin to reveal and confront the actual reason for his suicide attempt so she can release him into outpatient care before his insurance stops covering his inpatient stay.

A man in his thirties. He looks quite disheveled, owing to the fact that he has been in the locked psychiatric ward of a hospital for the past 29 days. He can only shave in the presence of a nurse or mental health aide and so he has given up shaving. He is in for depression and, though the worst of the depression is now over, he is frustrated that he is forced to remain locked up.
[ALICE LEE] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 28-35]
A woman in her early to mid thirties. She has recently finished her Psychiatric residency and she is currently the attending psychiatrist assigned to Martin Barlow. 16 She is intelligent and kind, but her demeanor in sessions is always very business-like. At work, she is always dressed in business attire, most often a skirt suit, which makes it apparent that she is a woman, but is not very feminine.
Note: The age range for Martin is rigid. You have to be able to play mid thirties. Alice could be older than the listed range but cannot appear younger than 28.
