“I can’t update my audition posting”
No. Not yet, at least. Right now, the only way to post an audition notice and subsequently update it is to contact me. There’s been some confusion on this subject and it was honestly expected as I try to get all of this working in the new format. So please don’t feel embarrassed requesting updates.
In an attempt to alleviate any confusion, here’s a few additional instructions on posting and updating notices (please note: these instructions apply to performance notices as well):
To POST an audition notice, click the Auditions tab at the top and then click the button to post your audition. This will take you to a form page with instructions on what to include in your posting.
Right now, the form doesn’t send me your message all neatly formatted. So if you could be clear about break points for paragraphs, bold type, etc., that would be most helpful.
Once I have posted your notice, I’ll reply to the email address you provided with the link to the notice.
If you have corresponded with me before for auditions, reviews, etc., you are free to skip this form and send me your notice as an email to my backstageutah.com email address (I don’t publish it on the site, as that just encourages spambots). This will allow you to format it the way you’d like, and I’ll be able to see it. PLEASE write “Audition Notice” in the subject line.
To UPDATE a posting, if this is just an update to let people know about another date added or a precasting decision, please use the COMMENT section at the bottom of the posting.
If the update is a major change, then use the email I replied to you with (or coordinate with whomever it was that would have received the email) and be CLEAR in what you want added, changed or updated.
If you have to use the contact form for an update, PLEASE tell me it’s an update so I won’t just put up another posting (because I will).
ALL Audition, Now Playing, and Classifieds notices are also published on Facebook and Twitter.
