The Midvale Arts Council is proud to present Steel Magnolias, written by Robert Harling February 22 – March 2, 2013 (6 shows) at 7:30pm at the Midvale Performing Arts Center, 695 West Center (7720 South) in Midvale.
In Steel Magnolias the audience joins six strong, but distinctly different, Southern women as they gab about life, love, and fashion at Truvy’s beauty salon; where everybody who is anybody comes to have their hair done. This heartwarming dramatic comedy will have audiences laughing until they cry, and crying until they laugh. The Midvale Arts Council’s production of Steel Magnolias is directed by Casey Matern, with Melody Chapman as assistant director. The show features the onstage talents of Laren Bateman as Ouiser, Catherine Bohman as Truvy; Kirsten Darrington as Annelle, Kristen Fox as Shelby, Stefanie Gallagher as M’Lynn, and Marilyn Gallaway as Clairee.
Specific dates for Steel Magnolias are Friday and Saturday, February 22-23, Monday and Tuesday, February 25-26, and Friday and Saturday March 1-2.
