This show is ALOT of good, old fashioned FUN! Saloon bar fights and dancing girls and a gold mine! YeeHaw!

Auditions for Showdown at the Sundown will be held March 5th at 1 p.m.
Location: Murphy Residence at 4424 West Cortney Drive (2920 South) in West Valley City

Performances will run on select (still being determined) nights in May, June and July.
Performances will be held at the Midvale Main Street Theatre.


Show Description: Madame Monroe has been running a fairly upstanding establishment in her Sundown Saloon (what goes on in the back room...stays in the back room), but the law is closing in and the locals are getting restless. Local gunslinger, Cotton and tomboy, Molly are trigger happy and raring to go. The sheriff, Mister JP has a few skeletons in his closet and with the newly discovered gold mine...things are bound to get WILD!

Character Descriptions:
Mrs. Monroe: Owner of the �Stagecoach Saloon�. Inherited it from her husband when he died. Mature, but not necessarily �old�. Spends most of her time behind the bar, observing her patrons. Needs to use a western accent and be able to sing alto to mezzo. 25-40



Molly McGraw: �Annie Oakley/ Molly Brown� type. Young and impetuous. Likes to compete with the boys. Particiaptes in a gun twirling competition. Tom boyish Alto to mezzo. 18-35



Ole'Coger: Town drunk who hangs around the bar. No singing required. Needs good comic timing and improv skills. 30-60



Cotton Calhoun:  Nicknamed �Pretty Boy�. Hard on the outside, but soft inside. Tender hearted and caring � though he doesn't want to show it. Makes a living being a gunslinger. 18-35 Needs to be able to sing talk (think Johnny Cash) 18-35



J.P.  Hollinger:  Mayor/Sheriff of town � has a gambling problem. Should be significantly older than his wife. Sleazy and slimy - typical politician. Speaks with an upper class, American accent (i.e. Billy Zane in �Titanic�) 25-60



Chase Hollinger (aka Chastity Cassidy):  Mayor's wife. Tries to fit in with the upper-class, but has come from a hard life. Soprano 18-35 Needs to ba able to dance and sing.

Please bring a resume, head shot and 16 measures of a prepared song with a minus track accompaniment. We have CD and Ipod capabilities. We also have a piano but no pianist.
