Historical Characters for Colonial Heritage Festival

Needed men, women and teens including African American actors. There will be no set auditions as this is mostly solo work. Contact Programming Chair, Sharon Rogers 801-505-3897 by text if interested. There will be a couple of rehearsals but most of this opportunity is a deep character study in a historical person. There are about 20,000 visitors to this event so the exposure is substantial as the interactions will be more intimate than a traditional theater. This is a complete immersion into the role.

Performance Date: July 4-6, 2019

Performance Time: Festival is 9-6 but depending on the role, you will only to be at the festival for a shorter time frame TBD by role and need.

Performance Place” SCERA Park in Orem

This is an unusual opportunity to do a deep character study as would be needed for a historical role in movies, TV, or stage. Think of HBO mini-series John Adams, Hamilton, or 1776. The Colonial Heritage Festival is a living history interactive event with character interpreters portraying historical persons such as George Washington, John Adams, or Benjamin Franklin. We are looking for actors for programs telling the untold stories of women, children, and slaves during the colonial time period. We are looking for men, women, and teens including African Americans. Contact the Programming Director listed above for possible characters and more details.
