Drowsy Chaperone Announcement
The Ziegfeld Theater is holding open auditions for The Drowsy Chaperone on March 29nd from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM. All roles open. Ages 16 and up encouraged to audition. Directed by Trent Cox, Choreographed by Kacee Neff, Music Directed by Rick Rea.
Invitation-only callback auditions will be held the evening of March 31th.
The production will rehearse weekday evenings and some Saturday mornings/early afternoons and opens on May 23rd, running until June 21st.
Please bring a resume, recent picture/headshot, and sheet music for a 30-60 second cut of a musical theatre selection from the show or in the style of the show (the cast recording is available to listen to for free on Spotify). Bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. No mp3′s/CD’s please.
**You are absolutely permitted to sing a selection from Drowsy Chaperone as your audition song, but bring a second contrasting song (in the style of the show) in case we would like to see you sing something else.***
