Auditions Will Be Tuesday July 21st 6:00-8:30pm
Desert Star Playhouse, Utah’s leading musical melodrama, parody theater, is holding auditions for our 2015 Season’s production of “Star Wards”. Multiple roles are open for both male and female 18 yrs and older. We are looking for experienced actors and singers. Roles are single cast and double cast. All actors are paid.
This is an open audition. Actors will be seen in order of arrival.
Head shot and resume are required.
Please bring sheet music of 32 bars of 2 contrasting songs that demonstrates your vocal ability. No recorded music is allowed. An accompanist is provided. Also prepare to perform a 1 minute long comic monologue. We are looking for strong comedic actors and strong singers. Dance experience is preferred.
Rehearsal Schedule is July 28, 29, August 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, and 19 from 6:00 pm-10:30 pm (Tuesday and Wednesday nights)
August 1st & 8th from 8:00 am - 10:15 pm August 15th & 22nd 9:00 am - 1:00 pm(Saturdays)
Technical Week: August 24, 25, and 26 from 6:00 pm-Midnight. (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights)
Show runs August 27th - Nov 7th
