Audition Notice for Footloose

Dates of Audition: April 17th and 18th
Location of Audition: Studio B at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 West 3100 South

Spotlight Theater Company, in partnership with the West Valley Arts Council, is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming production of FOOTLOOSE.

WHAT TO PREPARE: Please bring 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist and a CD player will be provided. Please, no A Cappella singing. A head shot and resume are requested, but not required. Please also be prepared to list any conflicts you might have from April 22nd-July 13th.

CALLBACKS: Callbacks will be held from 2-6 PM on April 20th. If called back, a brief dance combination will be taught, so please wear clothes that you can move in.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Life in small-town Bomont is peaceful until City boy, Ren, arrives. Breaking every taboo, Ren brings dance back to the heart of a town held back by the memory of a tragedy. FOOTLOOSE features some of the best 80s anthems including Holding Out For A Hero, Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear It For The Boy, and of course the title track, Footloose.

FOOTLOOSE runs nightly at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center from July 8-13th. Rehearsals will be held Tuesday-Saturday beginning April 22nd. Footloose will be directed by Brighton Sloan with music direction by Gary Sorenson and choreography by Brittany Bowman. Email if you have any questions.
