Though I doubt anyone else here will care, I still have to express my sheer joy at this. When I was a kid, I had two heroes: Abraham Lincoln and Steven Spielberg. I have been waiting impatiently for Steven Spielberg's Lincoln film since it was announced. I had given up hope it would happen.

As much as I love Liam Neeson (a top contender for my favorite actor, and, last time he and Spielberg worked together they made what I consider the greatest film of all time), I always felt that the perfect Lincoln would be Daniel Day-Lewis. I love it when Steven and I think alike.

I will be there twice the day this film opens. I just hope casting on characters like Seward, Stanton and Frederick Douglas comes soon.
