However, there are exceptions made to the dress and grooming standards if you're performing in a play. There are often costumes in the BYU mainstage productions that would be deemed "immodest" by the Honor Code, but it's OK because they're costumes.

Not sure how that would apply to the nudity issue, since nudity is a little more extreme than my experience (which is mostly limited to tank tops and shirtless boys, etc.).
