Yeah, my mom had made it pretty clear a while ago that she didn't think I should be doing plays when I should be working on my thesis.  But really, the two activities occupy completely separate blocks of time in  my life--I wasn't going to be working on the thesis in the evenings anyway!
 

I make pretty things.

I hope I haven't directed another production that causes family drama. I got enough of that from my documentary.

When it happened on Monday, I didn't find the lights coming up in the middle of the Cantina scene change funny at all.

Now I have to admit that the image of Chewbacca and a half dressed Yoda caught in the headlights as they set up a bar is pretty hysterical.

It was a good closing night. There are, of course, stresses associated with the show (as with any show) that I won't miss, but there's a lot I will miss. I know it was a silly, fluffy parody, but it was one of the most personal shows I ever did.
