So with my first two pregnancies I remember being really sick and not cooking and not like to think about food, but I could eat just about anything! And in the craving periods I would crave masaman curry (yummy!)

This time, I can't eat anything!! I gag on a bland old piece of bread, choke on mashed potatoes, throw up cold cereal, and dry heave at the sight of enchiladas. I just realized as easily downed Papa Johns cinnamon sticks that this is a sugar baby! The only thing I can consistently eat is dessert! Putting on weight shouldn't be too much trouble on such a diet but what about my nutrients?

I'm sorry to hear that! I remember living on soda crackers and sprite.

The only food suggestions I can offer are the same ones I served post-surgery patients (who have weak stomachs) back in my healthcare days: cream of wheat, strained cream soups, Jell-O, applesauce, yogurt (avoid flavors with seeds like raspberry), popsicles, icecream/shakes, broth soups without vegetables & meat, pudding (instant)...

Goodluck!

Maybe you could have a shake from some place like Jamba Juice or Roxberry.  It's sweet, but has fruit and goodness in them, depending on what you get.  Roxberry also has a yogurt bar where you can put together your own stuff.

I ate almost nothing but fruit with Thing 1.  My midwives told me I shouldn't because I'd end up with a huge baby.  Well, they were right, she was huge, but she was also 6 weeks premature, so she was only huge for that age, and even had subcutaneous fat, and partially because of her size never had to have breathing or feeding assistance.  So.  I say eat what your body wants.  If that's sugar, then eat sugar.  As long as you can eat something and keep it down and keep yourself going, that's pretty good.

Chocolatey/desserty protein shakes may be the way to go (i.e. liquid vitamins).

And keep taking those pre-natals!!

Oh yeah. Clif and Luna bars are great. Luna makes one that's just like a caramel brownie, and it's packed with all the stuff you and your baby needs (protein, folic acid, etc.)

You might like Lara bars--just fruits and nuts and spices made into different flavor combinations.  There's a ginger snap one and a cherry pie one that I really like.
They're raw.

Yeah, I've seen them at Harmon's, Whole Foods, and Sunflower Market.

Lara bars... and they're raw?  That's eerily coincidental.
