I don't particularly care what your opinion about food, diet, exercise or health is. You're welcome to appropriately post it in this section. To me (and as long as I'm the moderator of this section, this matters specifically because it is how I see it), appropriate means the following:
1)If someone starts a thread on a specific topic, I expect the responses in here to be generally on-topic. I don't care to police this closely, so in general I'll leave threads alone that stray a little off topic until the person who started the thread contacts me about the deviation.
2)If you are going to take up the position that whatever point you are making is valid for everyone, or for the majority of people, I'll expect you, if called on that point, to be able to provide evidence from a peer-reviewed, mainstream journal in support of your claims, or to graciously state that you have no such evidence. I have very few pet peeves, but insisting some statement within the realm of health/diet/medicine/science is true when the only credible evidence presented has been to the contrary is one of them. I'm likely just to delete posts rather than remind people about this, as I don't want the few moments I have here and there to be spent entirely playing daddy to a petulant child.
3)If someone posts their own experiences as a suggestion for something that may work for someone else or a few someone elses, that's cool, and I'll ask that everyone try to keep a cool head about it, otherwise, please see rules 1 and 2.
