Now that the rights are available for this production, I just keep crossing my fingers that somewhere in Utah will be bold enough to do a production of it.
This is such a powerful, beautiful musical and has amazing music!

Dark Horse, maybe? I personally love 2 songs from "RENT" and pretty much disdain the rest of it. but it clearly has a huge following that would love to see it here. It's slightly mainstream for Dark Horse . . . but not UTAH mainstream. Certainly they have the talent to do a good production of RENT, and wouldn't be afraid of it/

I've been acting my whole life, but i am new to the Salt Lake Valley, and have been searching for a theater company to be a part of.
I've never heard of Dark Horse..
Rent definitely requires some amazing talent, and i've dreamed of being in a production of this since the day i saw it Smiley

Dark Horse is new. Only started last year, but they have some amazing talent and are VERY bold and daring. They made a big impact in their first year.
