Hey...does anyone know anything about In the Heights? I've heard it's energetic....anything else?

Absolutely freaking brilliant.

I have never, ever actually cried at a show. At least not more than just tearing up. I had tears streaming down my face in the second act. The cast, the music, the set, the lights, the band, the script....it was all perfect in my opinion. My only slight issue was the man who played Kevin. He was a great actor, but vocally, he wasn't up to par with the rest of the cast. His acting covered his singing for the most part, though.

Some people have told me that they don't think they'd like it because of the rap and latin influence in the music, but I'm not big on either one of those genres, I loved the show (if you couldn't tell already).

If anybody's going to NY anytime soon, get tickets to this if at all possible.

I've listened to the soundtrack and had most of the show explained to me while listening.  I'm not usually a fan of rap, but this show gets under your skin.  I look forward to seeing it!

Oh, and there's a clip on youtube of the recording session.  Go look it up!

Interesting...I liked the music a lot more than I like the show in general.  It had great dancing, great acting, and great music, but the story just left me feeling kind of "meh".  The show just didn't "talk" to me or draw me in to the stories and characters.  It didn't make me care about them.  Also, the person I saw it with felt the same way...
