I listen to Radio Margaritaville on my computer at work.  There is a pretty eclectic mix there.  Right now, it's a steel drum band (I don't know the name), playing what sounds like zouk music.  They played some Bob Marley earlier, and The Band before that.

Right now I'm listening to 'The Tweedy Experience".

It's my Jeff Tweedy playlist containing whatever I have from him: Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Minus 5, Loose Fur, The Mermaid Avenue stuff with Billy Bragg ...

At the moment? 'Airline To Heaven' live acoustic performance of Sunken Treasure.

(Honestly, if the rest of my music disappeared tomorrow, leaving me only this playlist ... I'd be OK with that.)

You are all in love with Camera Obscura, right?  That's not really a question, that's more of a threat in a thin disguise as a suggestion.

Saw OK Go in concert - the lead singer ran out in the stadium and sang RIGHT behind me.  He was spitting on me.  It was freaking awesome!

Bowie, Bowie, and more Bowie.  From Aladdin Sane through Scary Monsters making all stops in between.  If you haven't listened to it recently, "Panic In Detroit" is a rock star song.  Don't know why, exactly, just one Bowie song led to another led to another led to another.

I'm having a crisis. I am not sure if it is moral or existential or what, but I am having one. I can't stop listening to the soundtrack for New Moon. IT IS SO AMAZING. How did this happen? How did a bunch of my favorite artists just appear on this soundtrack? What is happening to the world?

I'm serious, it is so good. So. Good. I hate how good it is. But I love it.

And how did I NOT know she released a new album in October?  Lame.

I've had Kevin Aviance's cover of Britney Spears' "Gimme More" running through my head all day.

a genius playlist based on "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver.  It's really quite nice.

You know it's a remake of an old Pet Shop Boys song, right?  http://blip.fm/~hoslz

Nope, didn't know that.  It's 100% new to me right now.  (and I still can't stop listening to it)

Today, while cleaning, I have my Showtunes playlist on... so our house is SUPER GAY.  Rose's Turn from Gypsy... but not just ONE version of it... ALL OF THEM (except Bernadette's.  I try to forget that they let her play that role).  And Pacific Overtures, and Avenue Q, and Candide, and Assassins, and Next to Normal, and Weird Romance, and Debbie Does Dallas, and I Love You Because.... it just keeps going.  It's my favorite sing along playlist.  Smiley

Van Morrison, Ray LaMontagne, and this song I just found, "Come Back When You Can" by Barcelona.  I guess I'm feeling a little moody and wistful today.
