We close tomorrow night. This is probably my favorite show I've ever done, and I hope people will take the opportunity to come and see it.

What! I didn't even know you were there! I totally would have come out to say hi-- I haven't seen you in forever! Well, it's quite possible that I'll come again some time, so I'll let you know if I do! Oh, please do! I'd absolutely love to come and say hi! Okay Kaylee, looks like I'll be there this Friday! See, this show is good enough to see twice. And only a soulless, cynical person with no Christmas spirit would think that JingLeBeq being my girlfriend would have any influence on that, so put it out of your head right now.

Just a reminder that tickets tonight are only $5, which is a real bargain, especially in these troubled economic times.
(That was a little much, wasn't it?)

Draper Historic Theatre announces the opening of the world premiere Christmas play Young Santa Claus and the Winter Solstice , a fantasy/adventure in the vein of The Polar Express and the Harry Potter stories. Kris Kringle, the orphaned son of a kindly toy maker, is chosen by the faeries and elves of the North Pole to learn the magical art of toy making and become Santa Claus, the symbol of peace, joy and giving. But first, he and his friend Anya, along with the elves Flick and Ruafel, must face the cruel and evil Snow Queen, and her minions Black Peter and Jack Frost. If the Snow Queen is not defeated by the end of Winter Solstice, the magic of Christmas will be lost forever. Filled with action, warmth, humor and the spirit of Christmas, Young Santa Claus is written and directed by Paul & Patrick Gibbs, who also appear as the elves Ruafel and Flick. Kris Kringle is played by Parker Rideout, with Madison Schaerr taking on the role of Anya, his best friend. The evil Snow Queen is played by Alexa Rideout, with Nathan Jones as Jack Frost, Dave Nilson as Black Peter, and Sierra Pogue as the faerie Princess Aurora Borealis. Costume Design is by Mary Rino, and set design and painting is by Carolyn Richardson, and choreography by Breannon Orr. Chelsey Richardson is the production Stage Manager. Come and join us for an original Christmas gift for the whole family, one we hope will bring happiness to your holiday season. Ticket Prices range from just $5 for children, $7 for seniors and students, to $9 for adults. All evening shows begin at 7:00 p.m. and a Saturday matinee on December 11th at 2:00 p.m. Call 801-572-4144 or visit www.drapertheatre.org to order tickets.
