Auditions for the Sandy Arts Guild’s production of Frozen Jr. are on January 6, 7 and 9, 6-9 pm. Callbacks are by invitation on Saturday, January 11, 1:00 pm. Rehearsals start on February 1. Rehearsals are on selected weeknights from 7-9 pm and Saturday mornings from 9 am to 1 pm. The show runs April 2-4. Stephanie Chatterton is the director/choreographer and music direction is by Eric Richards.
Needed are boys and girls in 2nd-12th grade. All parts are open. Be prepared to sing 16 bars from a similar musical. An accompanist will be available. Please bring music; no minus tracks or recorded music. The directors have requested that all youth auditioning for the show bring a list of scheduling conflicts from February 1 through April 4, as well as a current photo and resume.
Please note: Elsa needs to belt. Olaf needs to be 5 feet tall or taller. Sven needs to be 5’ – 5’3” tall.
Auditions will be held at Sandy Parks and Rec, 440 East 8680 South, Sandy. Reserved audition times are highly recommended, but not required. To reserve an audition time, please go to www.sandyarts.com and click on Frozen Jr. information.
Please note:
- There is a $50 fee for those cast in the show.
- There is a mandatory daytime performance on April 2 that will necessitate missing school in the morning.
- There are two performances on Saturday, April 4. You will be called from 2-9 pm.
- Parents/guardians of youth cast in the show are required to serve on a committee AND help with supervision at rehearsals and performances.
- An adult is required to attend the cast meeting the morning of February 1.
