Draper Historic Theater is excited to perform The Drowsy Chaperone
With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record: the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical. The recording comes to life and The Drowsy Chaperone begins as the man in the chair looks on. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight.
The production staff for The Drowsy Chaperone includes: Marc Navez (Scenic Design, Light Design), Jared Daley (Director, Music Director) Jason Jensen (Technical Advisor), Ashley Ramsey (Choreography) and Doug Cahoon (Prop Design)
The production will be housed at Draper Theatre (12366 South 900 East | Draper, Utah). Parking is available on the surrounding streets and in the retail outlet parking adjacent to the theatre. The main entrance is accessible by wheelchair. Box office opens at 6:20pm on performance nights. House doors open at 6:30. There will be one 10-minute intermission. Concessions will be sold before the show and during intermission.
Draper Historic Theatre is an independent, non-profit theatre providing family entertainment, and theatrical opportunities to all ages. To purchase tickets, find out about auditions, education classes, or see the complete 2017 season, please visit us at www.drapertheatre.org.
