Mamma Mia

Auditions for the Sandy Arts Guild’s production of Mamma Mia will be held on May 14, 15, 16, 6:30-9:30 pm. Callbacks are by invitation on May 18. Rehearsals will be on selected weeknights and Saturday mornings in late May, June and July. The show plays at the Sandy Amphitheater August 2-10. Nolan Mitchell is the director, Eric Richards is the music director and Jann LeVitre is the choreographer.

Needed are men and women 14 and older.  The director is looking for a diverse cast so all ages/sizes/races are encouraged to audition. All roles are open.  Please be prepared with a 16-bar cut of music similar to the style to the show, non-musical songs are appropriate. No ABBA music.  Please bring music properly marked with starting and ending points. An accompanist will be available. Minus tracks are accepted, but sheet music is preferred. If a minus track is used, it needs to be on a device that will plug into a standard aux cord or headphone jack. Please, no CD’s. No acapella, please.  The directors have requested that all those auditioning bring a list of scheduling conflicts between May 18 and August 10, a current photo and resume.

Although this is a dance heavy show, roles are available for strong movers with less dance training.  Please see character description breakdown for additional details.

All auditions and callbacks will be held at the Sandy Parks and Recreation building, 440 East 8680 South, Sandy, UT. Reserved audition times are recommended, but not required.
